Triathlons 2023

Malibu Triatlon:

Over the last 9 years Sophia’s Buddies Triathlon Team has participated in the Malibu Triathlon and collectively raised over $800,000.00 for Childhood Cancer Research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Hermosa Beach Triathlon

This year is our 2nd year participating in the Tower 26 Hermosa Beach Triathlon. Last year we met our goal of $10,000.00 for Childhood Cancer Research. We are grateful to Michael Epstein for providing this opportunity to our organization and matching the first $5,000.00 to help us meet our goal of $10,000.00 for Childhood Cancer Research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Mobile Blood Drives

Sophia’s Buddies has held several mobile blood drives for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to support their in hospital blood bank. One donation can save up to 3 children and each individual can donate whole blood up to 4 times a year. Blood is desperately needed during childhood cancer treatment.

Fundraising is a crucial part of supporting families fighting childhood cancer as well as bringing awareness that kids get cancer too.
